missoni

Missoni style converges with the freedom to run and play, inspiring an Autumn/Winter 2014 collection for little girls who love the great outdoors, spending time with animals and being in touch with nature.

They are girls reminiscent of cartoon characters and fairy-tale figures, dressed in luscious jersey dresses and knits with wave inserts. They wear pinafore dresses with crisscross straps and a belt tied in a bow on the back, skirts and long-sleeved tops worn under shrugs with a huge collar and hood. These ensembles are elegant and comfy, and can be coordinated with cardigans and knit ponchos. Waterproof down jackets in jersey have long sleeves or are sleeveless and hooded.

They come in bold shades of pink, white and yellow, red, aubergine and orange, or navy, light blue and pink, white, red and green, illuminated with Lurex threads for those special occasions. Missoni’s iconic zigzag is the star. It is inlaid in horizontal and vertical bands in dresses and skirts, but also nuances to optical white in shrugs that can easily be combined with charming, warm multicolour caps in tricot knit with zigzag patterns and horizontal stripes. And there are headbands and satchels.

The capsule collection for babies, from new-borns to nine twelve months, also enters this season with hooded coveralls and padded washable sleep sacks with a zigzag pattern. Tiny knit dresses with puff sleeves are coordinated with little shoes and caps. But there are also cotton rompers in solid colours with zigzag knit detailing, and knit sheep dolls that are also sold as gift items, as well as knit cot and pram blankets with zigzag patterns, with edging in solid jersey.
